ECOBABY AND NAPPY DISPOSAL
Baby nappies make up a large volume of all
waste sent for disposal. Most informed sources suggest a
figure of 4.5% of domestic waste is made up of baby
nappies. If recyclable materials are removed from the waste
stream, nappies make up 15% of domestic waste. So what
can be done about this? Well,
a company called "ecobaby" (they have an
office in Dublin), supply nappies which are environmentally
friendly. Personal experience suggests that econappies are as
good as, and are the same cost as those nappies generally available in the
supermarkets. They can be posted direct to your
