‘Cows in plastic bags?’

It is interesting to note the concerns that have arisen nationally regarding the issue of dumping of cattle infected with Mad Cow Disease close to water sources. Proposals currently exist to locate superdumps close to rivers and above groundwater – the same water that makes its way into our taps.

Thousands of cows infected with every disease under the sun will make their way into these superdumps. The experts say that the seepage from this offal (among other seepage) will be contained using the same material which makes plastic bags (a HDPE liner).

If this is the case, this writer suggests that the BSE infected cows should be put into plastic bags (provided by the above experts of course) before they are buried in farms close to water sources – that should keep everybody happy!!!
